Meet Quiana Bradshaw

Motivation is the key to success for Quiana Bradshaw. Having been homeless at one point in her life, Quiana was highly motivated to do something that would enable her to pursue career opportunities that would last. "I had been laid off from a lot of jobs and was getting nowhere fast. I was tired of working hard and getting stuck in jobs without a promising future or career." Quiana also wanted to be the first one in her family to earn a degree. Her parents always wanted their children to get a college education. With that inspiration and encouragement from her husband, her biggest supporter, she decided to look into earning a degree.
An Admissions Advisor from Colorado Tech Online contacted Quiana and his inspiring words really stood out and made an impression on her. The advisor offered support and encouraged Quiana by asking her "how long do you intend to put off your dreams?" With that thought firmly implanted in her mind, Quiana decided to enroll in Colorado Tech Online to earn her degree. "I attended other colleges prior to Colorado Tech Online and I didn't want to put it off any longer. I'm glad I enrolled in CTU and stuck it out and earned my degree. I've always been the type of person to finish what I start. I finally have to do something with my life and career."
Quiana had researched other online universities, but found Colorado Tech Online a cut above the rest. "I really liked the degree programs that are offered and the way the University is set up. The accelerated format has worked really well for me." Quiana also found she preferred Colorado Tech Online because of the real-world relevance in the degree programs. "The curriculum can be applied to real-world professions out in the marketplace today. I want to be prepared for real-world situations in my future career and I feel my degrees from CTU will help me with that."
Having earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Information Technology, Quiana feels her degree will be very marketable whether she chooses a career in IT or not. The BSBA degree program offers courses in a broad range of business subjects such as marketing, accounting, and finance that can be utilized in just about any business career.
Quiana also is a Colorado Tech Online Ambassador where she is available to current or prospective students to answer questions or offer advice on her experiences with the University. She also takes advantage of the features of the Virtual Campus. "I enjoy the Virtual Commons to network with fellow students and alumni. I enjoy learning how fellow students balance their work lives and personal lives and I also enjoy the new friendships I have made."
Quiana's employment situation is turning around dramatically with help from her degree from CTU. She currently has interviews lined up and is getting a lot of temporary work. "I'm not being passed up when looking for work. I'm being flooded with opportunities for interviews. My degree has helped open doors that were never open before and I've never had the opportunities like this until after receiving my degree." Quiana is continuing on to earn her Executive MBA through Colorado Tech Online and the sky is the limit for her future.
