I originally attended a course at another online university prior to coming to Colorado Technical University. At the other university, the course design was to read the required chapters in your textbook, download and complete a study sheet, and then take a mid-term and final written test. The instructors provided little to no help to the students attending, there was no interaction with other students, and the university asked for and provided no feedback about the program.

I started looking for another online university to attend for two reasons: (1) I wanted a university that showed interest in my progress and (2) I wanted to become more marketable by taking courses that would allow a career path change. While looking at several universities, the webpage for Colorado Technical University caught my attention. Not because it was flashy but because it offered degrees in a short period of time. It was not long before I was enrolled and taking courses that would enable me to get a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

During the last 17 months, my experience with Colorado Tech Online has been a wonderful one. Everyone showed concern for my progress and were always available for questions or advice: the Admissions Advisor I first spoke to, the Academic Advisors, Articulation Coordinators, Financial Aid Advisors, and finally the Career Services Advisors. The professors were always there for me and the other students. Their chat sessions proved to be a big help, especially with areas that I had trouble understanding. And while my odd work schedule did not always allow me to attend the live chat, I could always go back and listen to the archive of the chat session.

The two things that I enjoyed most about attending classes at Colorado Tech Online was the interaction with other students and the real-world focus during the class. Speaking with other students from all over allowed me to hear other views and solutions to the questions and problems that we faced during our courses. I also learned that my own work-related experiences, both good and bad, helped me to better comprehend the material being presented.
