Bachelor of Science in Accounting
In response to numerous corporate and accounting scandals that affected millions
of people, the U.S. Congress passed the Sarbanes-Oxley Act in 2002, setting forth
new standards for the way organizations govern themselves and disclose their auditing
practices.
This legislation is expected not only to have a dramatic impact on the way organizations
operate but also the career opportunities it creates for dedicated professionals
who have obtained an up-to-date knowledge of current accounting standards and practices.
To meet the growing demand for professionals with real-world skills, Colorado Technical
University developed an online Bachelor of Science in Accounting (BSACC) degree
