    IT491 is the first of four courses emphasizing the life cycle of information technology applications. It builds on the theoretical basis of CS475 and integrates the other courses of the IT curriculum. Working in teams, students begin to develop a system to meet user requirements.

    Provides instruction on how to analyze the business requirements for a network infrastructure, and design a network infrastructure that meets business requirements. Network infrastructure elements include network topology, routing, IP addressing, name resolution such as WINS and DNS, virtual private networks, remote access and telephony solutions.
